How does the file compression feature work?

The file compression feature in MaxiDisk scans your hard disk for large files in your Windows user profile that are taking up disk space and then offers to compress these files to compress them into smaller files to gain valuable storage space. When such a file is compressed, this is done in such a way such that you can continue working with these files as normal, without requiring your intervention to uncompress the file whenever you need to work on it. This means that the MaxiDisk compression is a transparent process and once the file is compressed, you don’t need to worry about it and even other software can access and work with the file as normal.
