McAfee Firewalls

If something is identified, maybe wrongly as "Artemis" then McAfee already knows about the issue. In this case please send an email to Virus_Research@avertlabs.com with the words "False Artemis!++++++" (where ++++ is the code given to it) as the subject line. (minus the "").

Also please post onto the Artemis forum with the Artemis!xxxxxxx number as the header and put an explanation in the body of the post.  That gives you a double chance at getting it dealt with quickly.
If you need to temporarily disable McAfee, please follow the instructions below:
  1. Double-click the taskbar icon to open SecurityCenter
  2. Click “Virus and Spyware Protection”
  3. Click “Real-Time Scanning”
  4. Turn the feature off and specify for how long you want it to remain that way
  5. You can do the same for Personal Firewall under the “Web and Email Protection” drawer on the main screen.
